Ain’t no party like an art party! Last night found us getting the chardonnay-nay on (courtesy of General Bilimoria Wines & Krait Beer) at the kickoff show for the Brooklyn Institute of Contemporary Art.
Giving a voice (and some wall space) to a selection of emerging artists from around the world, the first show is up at Chelsea’s Jack Shainman Gallery through August 5th.
Following exhibits will rotate around the city at different spaces until the BICA space opens sometime next year (hint: it’s in Brooklyn). Diplo and Eddie Stats contributed mixes for the show, and the afterparty at Opus 22 (formerly Open) raged ‘til late with tunes courtesy of Stats hisself.
