The story goes that the upcoming Granddaddy EP Excerpts From The Diary Of Todd Zilla was partially inspired by lead-singer Jason Lytle’s disillusionment with his hometown of Modesto and his recent move to Los Angeles. Maybe the journey southward was motivated by being closer to Nick Harcourt’s adoration or an interest in the doobage supply of his buddies in Dios (Malos), but the results sound like the soundtrack to a Nintendo game called Getting Off The Couch.

That’s good news, and gooder news is that we just beat level three of GOTC. We tricked our roommate into opening the curtains, we’ve finished our bowl of Golden Grahams, and we moved the dog off our lap. Now if only this episode of My Super Sweet Sixteen wasn’t so eff-tacularly good! Hart, you Red Bull-chugging, misguided fool, you are destined to die sad and alone.
