Sons And Daughters Release New Album, Tour With Decemberists

On August 23, Glasgow, Scotland's boy/girl folksy-leaning rock outfit Sons And Daughters will release their long-awaited debut album, The Repulsion Box. The band's 2003 seven-song EP, Love The Cup, put the group on the map and led to a US tour opening for Franz Ferdinand, as well as a heap of critical praise. Now, with a full album's worth of killer material, Sons And Daughters are once again setting their sights on the US.

From September 2 through September 7, the band will embark on a very quick headlining tour of strictly major markets, including New York, Boston, Toronto, Chicago and Minneapolis. Immediately after, they will join indie darlings the Decemberists on a full scale American tour that won't wrap up until October 4 with a show at Webster Hall in NYC.

To get their fans excited, Sons And Daughters have shipped the single, "Dance Me In", to commercial specialty outlets. It will be impacting this weekend.
