With the gajillions of genres, sub-genres and sub-sub-genres out there you’ve got to pick and chose which ones to check the box scores on in the morning. That being said, we normally wouldn’t have peeped Purorock’s Latin alternative rock showcase last Saturday, though we’re sure as shit glad that we did. With a lineup that included Orixa, Lucybell, and Volumen Cero (pictured above), the left coast’s Knitting Factory was filled with fans who were waaaaaaaaaaay into it, as in steady doing the eyes-closed-while-singing-along-to-the-to-verses thing and then pogoing like insanity when the choruses hit. Dang, what else has our game been missing?
