Swords To Sharpen Their Skills On Fall Tour

Buzzing Portland, Oregon-based sextet Swords will release their sophomore album on September 20 via Arena Rock Records. Called Metropolis, the set was recorded mostly in the band's own Human Resources studio with keyboardist/programmer Evan Railton. In advance of the release of Metropolis, Swords will embark on a US tour. The trek will kick off with a home-town record release show and send-off celebration on September 9 at Berbati's Pan, following which the band will travel across the Midwest on their way to NYC for CMJ. While there, they'll perform at the Arena Rock showcase at Piano's on September 16 with Pilot To Gunner, Worm is Green, Talkdemonic and The Kingdom. They'll then head down the East Coast, across the south for a gig with The Posies in Nashville and then back to toward the Northwest where they'll play two shows with The National in Denver and Salt Lake City.
