The Vacation Sign To American

The beer drinking, rock crazed band known as The Vacation have officially inked a deal with Rick Rubin’s American Recordings. The label will re-release Band From World War Zero this fall, which was the group’s debut full-length. American Recordings President, Dino Peredes, stated, “The first time I saw The Vacation, I instantly fell in love. I’d heard they were a great live band, but I definitely didn’t expect what I witnessed. The show was completely chaotic, yet so much fun. [Singer] Ben Tegel was a madman – he ran through the crowd, getting sweat all over my shirt. They’re a great fit for us because they have everything we look for in our artists: great songs, a great live show and great personality. And we love them!”

While we wait for the re-release (which sounds like it won’t be too far away), the band is going to hit the road in support of Band From World War Zero. On tour with them will be B.R.M.C. and Diamond Nights depending on the date. In addition the band will be playing a CMJ showcase with Silversun Pickups, Peter Walker, LaRocca and Sabrosa Purr.
