The Ice Cream Man Cometh
- story THE FADER
This week brought a gaggle of cop-worthy albums to the record store (Broken Social Scene, Fiona Apple, Trina, Franz Ferdinand), but in the midst of this onslaught EMI released four “best of” collections (Master P, Silkk The Shocker, C-Murder, Tru) and two reissues (P’s Ice Cream Man and Ghetto D) from the New Orleans-based No Limit camp. We’re not ones to prematurely pull out the “in light of recent events” line, but in light of recent events this might be the perfect time to step your game up on this crew if you’re half stepping. Even without the original No Limit plastic cases, all these discs are Unnh!-worthy.
