You know, this crispy weather has got us feeling nostalgic. Thoughts drift back to carving pumpkins, caramel apples AND THE DAYS WHEN LLOYD BANKS WOULD SAY STUFF LIKE “I’LL DUMP A WHOLE CLIP IN YOUR MAN BRAIDS/ PUSSIES LOVE NELLY, HE MADE IT COOL TO WEAR BAND-AIDS.” Well, apparently Lloyd was feeling a little bit misty for the old days, too. The kid reacquired his gravel-grimey flow from the “Banks Workout” days, showing it off on “You Already Know,” his track on 50’s Get Rich Or Die Tryin soundtrack. Over some chopped Django-type guitar, LB announces, “I’m moving like po-po behind me/Co-co inside me.” Welcome back! Other audio good looks on the album include some FIYA from MOP, Mobb Deep getting rub-a-dub-dub in the club (sorry, it’s Friday), with “Have A Party,” upon which Prodigy claims, “my wrist could buy a girl a PhD.” Leave no child behind!.
