Looking to get a piece of original artwork from former Blur guitarist Graham Coxon? Although you could dish up a substantial sum of money to purchase a print of his work from his art website, you can also snag an original drawing for only £35 from the Royal College Of Art! Does this sound too good to be true? Well, with a deal like this, of course there is a catch.
Coxon, along with Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon and other assorted celebs have donated art that can be purchased as part of this year’s Royal College Of Art’s RCA Secret. This annual event sells works from famous artists, celebrities and even up-and-coming unknowns to help raise money for the organization.
So here is the catch. All of the art is listed for the same price, but the identity of the artist will not be revealed until you have slapped down your £35. So it is a gamble, but you could end up with an extremely valuable piece of work. In the past, Paul McCartney and David Bowie have contributed to the sale, so you never know!
Oh yeah, and you have to be in London to purchase the art in person as well. So snag a last minute plane ticket to the UK, head over to the Royal College of Art in Kensington Gore, London, and get some cool art to help out a great cause. Click here for more information.
