Whitestarr Party Hard, Date Hot Chicks And Oh Yea, They Play Music Too

LA-based Whitestarr are quite possibly the most famous band to have never released a record. Collectively, they are all about the good old days of rock & roll, where drinking 'till you puke, doing drugs and banging all sorts of chicks was the norm. In fact, they're so all about those good old days, that they even dress like they just stepped out of a time machine that was accidently placed at a Skynrd show in the mid '70s.

So why are they famous?

Well, the lead singer/songwriter is Cisco Adler, son of music biz legend Lou Adler, ex-fiance of Rod Stewart's daughter Kimberley Stewart and current boy toy of The OC's Mischa Barton. Google him and you'll get a zillion celeb blog hits with pics with him and Mischa making out on the beach. But it doesn't stop there kids. The drummer's name is Alex Orbison. Recognize that last name? Yep, he's the son of rock & roll pioneer Roy Orbison.

Whitestarr will release a self-titled EP next week and a debut album in April of '06, both via indie label Contango Records. You can stream some tracks on their website now. There's sort of a Black Crows roots/Americana throwback rock & roll thing happening. Not bad at all. Go check it out.

The band will be playing a gig in NYC TOMORROW night at RNR and will then head back West for a West Coast tour with Buckcherry (I didn't know they were still a band either) and Unwritten Law. Dates below.
