Metric To Open For The Stones In NYC

Yes, you read that headline correctly. Toronto-based four-piece Metric have been selected to support rock & roll legends The Rolling Stones for two nights at Madison Square Garden in January.

Following this once in a lifetime event, the band will rest up for a March tour that will take them across the continent and, of course, includes a stop in Austin for SXSW. Along they way they'll be supporting their sophomore album, Live It Out, which was released in October via Canadian indie Last Gang Records.

In addition, Metric will release a remix of their single "Monster Hospital" in January. The remix was done by DFA79 bassist Jesse Keeler and producer Al-P, collectively known as MSTRKRFT.
