What should be a top priority for every industrialized nation on earth, especially ours, is at the center of a new benefit concert being held in UK early next year. Aimed at raising global awareness of climate change, the One Earth benefit concert will take place on January 28 at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, and will be broadcast around the world. The Strokes, the Darkness and the Super Furry Animals are the first three performers to be announced of an eventual ten band bill.
The group Climate Change Now are organizing the event with the hope of converting one million European homes to renewable energy sources to coincide with the show.
Check the event's website for more details. It contains information on why global climate change is a serious concern for all of us, how to switch to a "good energy" provider, and even ways that you can help on an individual level. This information is tailored to a European audience, but we Americans should take notice. If you have a second to read through this info, you'll see that we're significantly behind Europe when it comes to offering clean energy alternatives. And that ain't good ya'll.
