If you're not familiar with English duo The Boy Least Likely To, then that headline probably sounds like a sentence fragment, but trust me people, it's not. Jof Owen (lyrics, vocals) and Pete Hobbs (music, instruments), collectively known as The Boy Least Likely To, will be bringing their happy, go-lucky, glockenspiel and banjo and synth-filled music to indie rock-loving American kids this March. Kicking off their introduction to the US at SXSW, the band will then continue the short, "buzz" tour in LA, SF, Seattle, Chicago, Boston and NYC.
The tour comes as a precursor to the release of the band's debut album, The Best Party Ever, which will be released domestically on April 4 via Too Young To Die Records. A press servicing of an album sampler late last year was met with a slew of great press. In fact, our own Pauline Pechin had some very nice things to say about it. You can check that out here. So if they're not already, put The Boy Least Likely To on your radar. Because if their live show is as good as their record (and I hear that it is), these guys will make quite an impact in 2006. Here's the tour info...
