The shit-talking UK white boy hip hop phenomenon known to some as Mike Skinner and to others as The Streets will release his brand new album on April 25 through our pals at Vice Records. Called The Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living, the release is Skinner's third overall and second since his 2002 Mercury Prize-nominated debut, Original Pirate Material. The new record will not be a "story album" like 2004's ambitious A Grand Don't Com For Free, but it IS completely autobiographical and deals with various occurrences in Skinner's life over the past few years.
Skinner will be in NYC doing press in late February and promos of the new record will be going out to national press next week, so I hope to get a review up on the site soon. Tour tentatively planned for June 2006. That's all for now, we'll keep ya posted.
