Rainer Maria Set Sights On Fifth Album

Indie-tastic Rainer Maria is gearing up for the release of their fifth studio album on April 4. Titled Catastrophe Keeps Us Together, this is the debut release for them on Grunion Label, and their first record in three years. Catastrophe Keeps Us Together was produced by Grammy winner Malcolm Burn (Bob Dylan, Iggy Pop) with Peter Katis (Interpol) for two songs. The Brooklyn via Midwest band is comprised of vocalist Caithlin De Marrais, guitarist Kyle Fischer and drummer William Kuehn and enjoyed taking their sweet time writing and recording this record.

On recording the album Kuehn stated, "We came home from the 2003 touring cycle without a set label situation. It would have been easy to coast on what we already knew how to do. Instead we reached and challenged ourselves and wrote the best songs we could for no one but ourselves."
