Tripwire Exclusive: Editors Announce First Full Tour, Album Release Date

After UK rock & roll sensations Editors finished up their "buzz tour" in January, it became clear to just about everyone that these guys are one of the special few who actually live up the hype - and the hype is there in full force. Whether it's the UK music zines, the Stateside hipster set, the music blogs or even (if you can believe it) commercial alternative radio, just about every possible outlet has seemed to come out to champion this band. On March 20, Editors will launch a full North American tour that will give them the opportunity to prove to the entire country that they are, in fact, the real deal. Teaming up with Stellastarr* for the trek, each band will headline a portion of the dates. A third, support act will be enlisted as well, though just who that might be has yet to be decided.

This tour will coincide with the release of Editors debut album, The Back Room, which is OFFICIALLY slated for a March 21 release through The FADER Label. The band will be performing at SXSW, so those of you lucky enough to make it down to Austin will get a glimpse at them in action before the full national tour kicks off.
