Consider this your formal invitation. The Gray Kid wants to rock your face off tomorrow night in New York City. In the dark on whom this is? Listen up and you wont be for long.
After splitting from his band and moving from Washington, DC to New York City, The Gray Kid signed with World’s Fair Management (home to Flaming Lips, Tortoise, Devendra Banhart, El-P and Beans). Less than half a year later he hosted the PLUG Independent Music Awards and shared the stage with Aesop Rock, Rjd2, Saul Williams and Sufjan Stevens. Soon after, he was spotted in France, headlining the XBOX Big Day Out snowboard competition in front of 10,000 people. Want to check out a few of his tunes? Click here for a download of his track, “Lonely Love” and see why people are saying he is like Beck meets Outkast.
The show takes place tomorrow at Joe’s Pub in New York City at 11pm. Joe’s Pub is located at 425 Lafayette Street at Astor Place. Tickets are $10.00, but if you have the fancy fliers that are shown below it is $5.00. The Gray Kid will be performing with Lily Cushman Culhane.
