TBA (Chicago) Goes Podcasting

When the top brass at Chicago's Q101 ("now on shuffle") made the ill-informed decision to yank the city's best specialty show, TBA, off the air over the holiday break, it came as quite a blow to the show's loyal following. TBA was easily one of the best things on the radio in Chicago and though it only aired once a week, it was hands down the best thing emanating from 101.1 on our FM dial. Highlighting bands coming to town and mixing in imports and demos from unsigned acts from all over the world, the show was a must-listen for many Windy City music fans looking to stay abreast to the latest and greatest new acts on the planet.

Thankfully, after a two month hiatus, TBA has just announced that it will continue to live on as a podcast. The show's re-launch in this new medium will make it even more accessible, as fans can download it an listen to it at their leisure. The podcast is incorporating some cool new podcast features as well, with actual song IDs so you can skip from track to track and band images with web links that appear while each song is playing in your iTunes.

TBA (Chicago)'s second podcast was posted earlier today. You can check it out here. You can either stream it from the website, or download to your iTunes. I suggest the latter. Enjoy!
