This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Mid-Atlantic College Radio Conference (dubbed MACRoCk), and promises to be bigger and better than ever before in honor of the milestone. The event takes place April 7-8, 2006 at and around the campus of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. It strives to promote independent music, thought, culture, art and business.
If you have never been to MACRoCk, or are unfamiliar with the conference you are in for a treat. The entire conference is run by student volunteers from WXJM, and funded by ticket sales. For a mere $25.00 you will be able to take a part in panels, label expo, film festival, and 120 band performances from groups like The Walkmen, Voxtrot, Irving, The Wrens and more.
