They Think They Are The Robocop Kraus

They Think They Are The Robocop Kraus is The Robocop Kraus' fourth studio album. Unfortunately for us Americans, it is only the first to see the light of day in the United States. Pulling heavily from post punk/New Wave's glorious past, the album is unmistakably modern and just as relevant and buzzworthy as The Rakes' Capture/Release or Art Brut's Bang Bang Rock & Roll. It is somehow able to sound like Devo and Franz Ferdinand, The Futureheads and Gang Of Four, The Rakes and The Talking Heads - not each individually, but all mashed up together as one sonic DQ blizzard of mod wave goodness. As impressive lyrically as it is musically and stylistically, the album's twelve tracks play like an anthology of post punk's 20+ year history and have instantly made this band one to watch in my mind. Weather they're filling the dancefloor with shaking asses or a new generation of music fans' iPods with the majesty of Gang Of Four's Entertainment and Devo's Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!, The Robocop Kraus have come to make the music world a better place.
