Listen up B-boys and B-girls. Beastie Boys, THINKFilm and National CineMedia are hosting a one-night-only concert presentation of An Awesome Night With Beastie Boys on Thursday, March 23 in 200 cities nationwide. This event will coincide with the world premier of A Day In The Life Of Nathaniel Homblower (a half-hour film starring David Cross; created for this event) and the Beastie Boys' musical extravaganza AWESOME, I FUCKIN' SHOT THAT, which hits select cities on March 31.
THINKFilm Head of Theatrical, Mark Urman, stated, "Nothing about the way AWESOME I FUCKIN' SHOT THAT was made was conventional, so we are trying to be as imaginative in our release strategy as Adam was in making the film, and as the band has always been. Fans have been waiting for this film since it popped at Sundance and now, they can be the 'first kids on the block' to see it everywhere before it starts key city engagements on March 31st. As for the Hornblower mini-movie, it will self-destruct right after it is presented on March 23rd, never to be seen again."
Tickets are on sale now at participating UA, Regal, Edwards, AMC, and Cinemark box offices. For a list of theaters showing An Awesome Night With Beastie Boys, click here.
