It’s A Grand Old Time
- story THE FADER
One more from the files of We Can’t Tell You Where To Find It, But We Can Tell You It’s Out There On The Internet: a new track from the Rapture called “W.A.Y.U.H.” produced by Danger Mouse. We knew the poofy haired boys were working with Mr Mouse on their new record (as well as Paul Epworth and Ewan Pearson), but this is the first non-live sample we’ve been able to taste. The sound is more “disco” and less “death” than Echoes, with bassist Mattie Safer handling the vocals that name-check Patti Smith and a chant that possibly references the Goodie Mob’s “They Don’t Dance No Mo”. Us = Psyched.
