Austin has the whole music festival thing down to a science. Hosting two of the best each year, South By Southwest and Austin City Limits, Texans definitely know how to put on a mighty good time. Now that we have all officially recovered from SXSW, it is time to start getting ready for the ACL Music Festival, taking place September 15-17. This year we will be treated to three days of music on eight stages, bringing in a total of 130 bands.
The lineup has not been announced, although tickets are already on sale for the event. Rather than just blurt out the lineup, the ACL folks have decided to have a scavenger hunt, giving concertgoers a chance to win tickets. Each day this week you are to visit their official website, where they will post a daily artist clue. You then enter in your guess for a chance to win two 3-day passes to the ACL Festival. Pretty sweet!
Gorilla vs. Bear is claiming that The Shins and The New Pornographers are taking the ACL stage, while the Dallas Observer blog hints at Radiohead, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beck and Bob Dylan. Hopefully ACL will start listing confirmed bands soon.
