Mere seconds after recieving an email linking to Purple Reign - a Prince/Dipset blend mixtape concocted by NYC DJs The Bangers - we got hit with another message linking to A Prince In Harlem, an almost identically themed musical smash-together presented by Tapemasters Inc and John Shotti. Is there something in the air? Springtime? Killa Season? We’re not sure. And not having heard either tape, we can’t give a yay/nay in regards to purchase recommendations. But we can say this: where’s “Diamonds And Pearls”?
