The Lemonheads are back! Well... Evan Dando is back and making music as the Lemonheads again, though not a single former member of the band is involved (not even Juliana Hatfield, sadly). The new incarnation of Lemonheads will feature Bill Stevenson (Descendents, Black Flag) on drums and Karl Alvarez (Descendents) on bass, who are both currently in Stevenson's Colorado studio with Dando putting the finishing touches on a yet-to-be-titled new album.
The new Lemonheads also have a new label, Vagrant Records, who are, of course excited about their new signing.
"The thing I remember most about Vagrant's first year is being locked up in my apartment, drinking coffee, stuffing 7"'s into envelopes and listening to It's A Shame About Ray on cassette all day, every day. If it wasn't for that record, we probably would've left the apartment eventually and given up the label. Nobody writes songs like Evan Dando, nobody sings likes him...the new songs are incredible. He is in top form." -- Rich Egan, Vagrant Records President
