We’ve been hearing whispers of a rave revival on the fashion circuit for a while now (cf. Alexandre Herchcovitch’s psychedlic S/S 06 gear) but it wasn’t until we peeped Patrik Soderstam’s Fall 06 collection that we knew a trend was in officially in the air. You might remember the Swedish designer and his XXXL designs way back in issue #33. Unlike his postier coture contemporaries, Soderstam doesn’t like to take himself too seriously and credits his little daughters’ games of dress-up as the inspiration for much of his oversized work. These new smiley tees are as much kiddy good times as they are a glowstick flashback for the old heads, and for that we huff some Vicks and blow our whistles.
