If you happen to see The Concretes in the near future, please give them a hug. They just can't seem to catch a break! Earlier this week we reported that some of their gear was stolen after performing at NYC's Bowery Ballroom. Some of the lifted gear included all of their guitars, an organ and a euphonium. As if that wasn't enough, the band has now had to cancel the rest of their North American tour due to illness. The following message was posted on their MySpace page:
"Due to illness, The Concretes have been forced to cancel their remaining U.S. tour dates. The band and their management send their apologies to fans who may already have bought tickets or were simply looking forward to seeing the band's new live show, and hope to re-schedule new dates some time in the near future."
Here is a list of the canceled dates:
05.18.06 - Seattle, WA (Crocodile Cafe)
05.19.06 - Portland, OR (Doug Fir Lounge)
05.20.06 - San Francisco, CA (Great American Music Hall)
05.22.06 - Long Beach, CA (Fingerprints - in-store)
05.23.06 - Los Angeles, CA (Troubadour)
05.24.06 - San Diego, CA (Cashbah)
Get well soon!!
