Jarvis Cocker, Nick Cave & Joseph Arthur Are Pirates

Anyone who knows anything about me knows that I love pirate movies. Ever since I was a little girl I have been a fan of the swashbuckler films…maybe I find something romantic in them? Who knows? Needless to say I am pretty psyched for July 7 because that’s the day that Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest will be hitting the silver screen.

One of the cast members of the film seems to be a pirate fanatic as well. It is reported that Johnny Depp, with the help of director Gore Verbinski, has put together an awesome compilation that will be called Rogue’s Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs & Chanteys. The two-disc set will feature music from the likes of Jarvis Cocker, Ed Harcourt, Lou Reed, Nick Cave and Joseph Arthur. Not too shabby matey! Arrrrr!
