We are just a couple of days away from the Tripwire's day at the McCarren Park Pool! This free day of music, put together by the folks at JELLYNYC, has just about everything you'd want from a day in the sun. We'll have live music (hand selected by the Tripwire), the All England Club taking on DJ duties (yours truly included), plus a crazy inflatable slip-n-slide! Great music and fun for free is a pretty uncommon thing these days, so take advantage of it and roll out to Brooklyn!
Our favorite provider of public transportation, yes that was sarcastic, has decided to work on the L subway line this weekend, so you'll want to take the G train instead. Simply take the G train to Metropolitan Avenue, cross Metropolitan on Union, walk up Union under the BQE overpass until you reach Roebling and make a right. From there simply walk one block to Lorimer and you'll see it!
As for the live music, you will be treated to three of our favorites on Sunday! Well, four if you count the DJs. Starting things off will be a set by All England Club, bringing along a fine selection of all things UK. The first band to take the stage will be the Bon Savants, followed by Jason Lytle (Grandaddy) and finally Pretty Girls Make Graves. Everything kicks off at 2pm, so bring some sunscreen, your bathing suit and get ready for a great time! Make sure you stop by and say hello to the Tripwire crew! You'll see me on the ones and twos while Erin will be the one taking tons of photos.
