On Monday we discovered the ramblings of Portishead's Geoff Barrow on the band's MySpace page. He admitted that they were having a difficult time with their third LP, and then harshly shot down a suggestion that Danger Mouse should produce the album. He said: "I'd rather poo in my mum's Sunday roast than have Danger Mouse produce a Portishead record. No offence."
I guess he felt a little bit bad after posting that rather nasty comment and has written an "apology." He wrote:
"just to let you know after my rants the other day that were reported about a certain producer. i dont rate myself better or above anyone else. it was purely in responce to a message that suggested he should produce our album and also to be honest im a grumpy old fuck who hates everything and narls barkley. cheers."
Narls Barkley? I think somebody is still a bit drunk.
