If you just bought a brand new video iPod, and you use Windows, there is a slight chance that you could have a problem. Apple's technical support site has posted that since September 12, less than one percent of their video iPods are infected with the RavMonE.exe virus. Should you panic?
Apple's statement said: "So far we have seen less than 25 reports concerning this problem. The iPod nano, iPod shuffle and Mac OS X are not affected, and all Video iPods now shipping are virus free."
If you happen to have purchased a video iPod in the past month, and think you might have a virus, Apple said that it can be removed using many different anti-virus programs. They have given a step-by-step set of instructions on getting rid of the evil RavMonE.exe virus here.
