Last Friday, Chicago's hometown heroes The Changes played a sold out show at the Double Door to celebrate the release of the band's debut album, Today Is Tonight. If you read my review of their album a couple of weeks ago, I talked about how Chicago's music community has been championing this band for almost two years now and this gig just proved my point perfectly.
Walking in the door, i couldn't make it five steps without bumping into industry friends who couldn't have been more enthusiastic about the night. Whether it was members of fellow Chicago-based bands like Cracklin' Moth, The 1900s, Office, and Slings & Arrows, or members of the city's music industry (and there were plenty), it seemed that EVERYONE made it out to show their support for the band that has given this city so much of themselves over the last few years. I took a few photos of the fun. Have a look below, and if you haven't already, go buy Today Is Tonight. You'll be glad you did.
