UK rising stars Bloc Party were forced to pull out of the biggest US tour of their career today. Drummer Matt Tong was admitted to an Atlanta hospital last Thursday night with a collapsed lung. Doctors have advised Matt not to play again for at least a few weeks in order to give his lung time to heal properly, so unfortunately the band has had to cancel their remaining dates with Panic! At The Disco.
"We would like to apologize to all of our fans here who won't be able to see us on this tour," said frontman Kele Okereke. "We were looking forward to playing in a number of American cities that we've never been to before, however, Matt's health is our number one priority right now."
Ticket refunds will be available at poin-of-purchase, fyi.
