Homeless Benefit Concert In Dallas Tomorrow

It is nice to see the Dallas music community working together for a great cause. Tomorrow night some of the city's finest musicians will be gathering to perform at the Reunion Tower Revue, a benefit to help homeless families with children at Family Gateway this holiday season.

Members of groups Sorta and Shibboleth, plus plenty of others, have teamed up to give music fans a night featuring selections from the vast catalog of Dallas music. Some of my personal favorites will be taking the stage, including Peter Schmidt, Salim Nourallah and Kim Pendleton. For our readers in other parts of the country, perhaps you can take this idea and run with it in your own town.

Tis the season for giving, so help out your community and donate some time and perhaps even a little dough to a charity or two. To the organizers of the Reunion Tower Revue, I hope your event is a success. It makes me quite happy to see my hometown scene put something together like this. If you happen to be unfamiliar with the artists involved, I have posted a couple of MP3s for you all to enjoy.
