Jules And Jim At Film Forum, NYC

I don't know much about film. Hell, I don't know ANYTHING about film. I just know what I like and what I don't. I'd love to be able to say that one of my favorite activities in the world is watching old foreign films, but I can't because I'd be lying. But we all know that there is always an exception to every rule. Case in point: Francois Truffaut's 1962 film, Jules And Jim. In (very) short, the movie is about two friends who fall in love with the same woman. I first saw this movie in (where else?) college and have over the years seen it numerous times, but FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER in my life, I will be able to seeJules And Jim this weekend at the fabulous Film Forum in New York City. The movie is playing on the big screen from 12/15 - 12/21. Go check it out.

For those of you totally unfamiliar with the movie, but very familiar with Cameron Crowe's Vanilla Sky, you'll notice a few similarities. Remember the end where Tom Cruise is making all the mental references to things that have happened to him? Walking down the street in the winter in the form of the cover of Dylan's Freewheelin? Well, he also remembers something that happens to him that is straight from Jules et Jim. Have no clue what I'm talking about? Neither do I. Like I said, I don't know much about film...
