The Rakes Announce New Album

While North America is still rocking out to "22 Grand Job," kids over in the UK will be pleased to know that The Rakes are hard at work on their sophomore album.

In a message on their official website, the group let us know that the record, Ten New Messages, was produced by Jim Abiss (Editors, Arctic Monkeys) and Brendan Lynch (Primal Scream). Additionally, singer Alan Donohoe commented, "The album was inspired by a combination of choral music, the television show 24, Bond theme tunes, World War 1 poets and the Sugababes."

Ten New Messages is coming out in the UK in March of next year. No word yet on USA dates, or when the guys will be coming back to our shore. Lets just hope that both will be soon.
