Artist development company Music Nation has officially launched its 15-week, multi-genre music video competition. Both the general public and a panel of celebrity judges will vote each week to narrow down winners in each of three genres - rock, pop and urban. Each winner will be awarded a global recording contract with Epic Records and a guaranteed performance slot on an episode of "STRIPPED," Clear Channel's exclusive in-studio performance series.
Here's the panel of celeb judges:
URBAN - Nelly, The Game, and Mark Pitts (pres of Urban music @ Jive)
ROCK - Benji and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte and Howard Benson (producer)
POP - Charlie Walk (pres of Epic) and Jonathan "J.R." Rotem (producer)
Each week, these judges and the public will choose two winners in each genre and these bands will be moved into the quarterfinals. After 12 weeks, there will be 3 weeks of quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals until one winner from each genre emerges victorious in week 15.
