Pullin’ Toothes

It’s hard to really be innovative AND popular in the streetwear game because usually that means, like, making a sweatshirt that is bright blue and covered in cartoon renderings of beepers and hamburgers offset by mini pink Bugs Bunnies or something. Luckily, Maiden Noir found a way to avoid all that. Their Spring ‘07 line is full of creative jean washes, classy thick-striped crewneck, extra-nice hooded sweatshirts with elbow patches, and giant anchor t-shirts. The line, while occasionally featuring a few too many skulls on t-shirts (dudes, we love your stuff, but ease up), adheres to a nautical theme without being repetitive or cheesy. Most interesting though, is the Battle Tooth necklace with fake blood done in conjunction with Seattle ceramic artist Charles Krafft. While it’s a little gruesome to wear to a wedding (or is it?), it’s still an interesting piece and just another indicator that Maiden Noir is definitely a brand to watch in 2007. Check out some pictures after the jump.
