The Changes Plot Spring Tour In Support Of Today Is Tonight

Chicago indie pop darlings The Changes have a busy couple of weeks ahead of them. For starters, the quartet kicked things off bright and early this morning with a double header of Chicago TV appearances – first on the WGN morning news, then on WTTW for a stripped down performance on “Chicago Tonight.” Friday night, the band will kick off a month-long tour in support of their debut album, Today Is Tonight, that will take them through SXSW and on to the East coast, sharing the stage with Dios (Malos), The Spinto Band and The Colour along the way. Unsigned Bay Area quartet The Morning Benders first appeared on our radar when their self released demo/EP Loose Change landed on my desk back in August of last year. The lo-fi, six-song offering was a pleasant surprise (finding a quality unsigned band always is), and we went on to write very nice things about the band. On March 13, The Morning Benders will drop another self-released EP called Boarded Doors. However, you won’t have to wait that long to hear it, because they were nice enough to give us the first two tracks to offer up as a download. read more »
