Somebody must have our phones bugged. Just the other day I was talking to someone about Tapes 'N Tapes and what happened to them. It seemed like at SXSW last year they were all over the place, they got signed, toured and vanished. Low and behold, today they are back in the news again.
In an interview with Billboard, singer/guitarist Josh Grier spoke about what is going on in their camp. As of now a bunch of untitled songs is what they have, but they will be heading to the studio in June to record, with a tentative fall release date. Josh Grier stated, "None of the songs have been played live so far. I've been holding off and wanted to get to the point where I was comfortable with them and liked how they were sounding."
Maybe that will change when the guys go on their headlining tour next month. One can hope.
