Timbaland’s Shock Value hits stores today, and it kicks off with Timmy tackling Nina Simone’s “Sinnerman” for “Oh Timbaland.” It’s no surprise that a dude who calls himself Thomas Crown would eventually flip the song used in that flick’s climactic heist scene (PS – how does Kanye feel about that?) but then when we give a listen to Feist’s new album, there’s also “Sea Lion Woman,” her cover of Nina’s “See Line Woman.” Coincidence? Synchronicity? Could it be that they were…reading?!?
