Musicians On Call

If you're here you probably have more than a passing interest in music. You probably go to shows and buy records like the rest of us. Musicians On Call makes those things we take for granted possible for people who otherwise can't do them because of serious illness by sending artists to hospitals to give bedside performances, by donating full label catalogues to hospital libraries and free tickets to patients' favorite shows. One of the ways Musicians On Call is able to continue their work is their annual charity auction which you can still participate in online by going here. You can peruse the lots up for bidding, but just to whet your appetite, a few of the items available are year-long passes to MoMA, original art by Daniel Johnston (above), tickets to a Bright Eyes concert, Yoko Ono's sunglasses, VIP passes to Coachella, a trip to India, a luxury cruise with Lynyrd Skynyrd (!!!), a ton of autographed and rare guitars, and, in what we hope will be a heated competition for Jay-Z's paper and heart, a monogrammed Rihanna robe and autographed House of Dereon jeans. Spend wisely.
