Paul Duncan has been making records for a few years now and his new one, Above The Trees is another fantastic sounding work from this Texan who now lives in Brooklyn. His voice sounds like a confident Will Oldham and his songs are beautifully orchestral while being fantastically augmented with one of my favorite instruments, a pedal steel. Check out “The Lake Pt. 2″ from his third record for Boulder, CO’s Home Tapes, Above The Trees out on May 1st.
