Kanye Teases Graduation In NYC

From L to R: Kanye, A-Trak, So_Me and Mehdi

Last night, Kanye West stopped by to hear his personal selector A-Trak get down with some deejay buddies at Manhattan’s Hiro Ballroom. Ed Banger graphic designer So_Me was also there, and the night marked the first time he and Kanye had shared a stage since the MTV Europe Music Awards (CHORTLE CHORTLE). After some real enjoyable CD-J murderation by Mehdi, A-Trak joked about a special guest who wanted to play some unreleased music for the crowd, and they stopped all the tunes to press play on a new track from Kanye’s forthcoming Graduation. It features a vocal sample from Daft Punk’s “Harder Better Faster Stronger,” lyrics like “you can be my black Kate Moss tonight,” and signals a definte electro-influenced departure from KW’s Late Registration jams. Here’s a far-away, camera phone video-ed clip of Kanye performing it in Kuala Lumpur a few weeks back. Stay tuned…
