Portland, OR’s Blitzen Trapper will open up a string of twelve shows for The Hold Steady starting at the end of May and running into mid-June. Their wonderful debut album, Wild Mountain Nation is being released on June 12th, the same day their tour wraps up in Columbia, MO. Blitzen Trapper and Hold Steady? It’s like The Grateful Dead moved to Portland and became obsessed with Pavement and then decided to open up for Bruce Springsteen’s midwest born brother. Um, best concert ever? Maybe.
