Another 7-inch hit the mailbag, this time from Lex Records’ cartoon doodler/word rhymer Kid Acne. Produced by Ross Orton of the Fat Truckers (and MIA/Jarvis Cocker production fame), “Oh No You Didn’t” eschews the jokey bedroom boom-bap of Acne’s older tracks for a punky backbeat that’s tailormade for lyrical couplets ending in “step aerobics” and “agoraphobics.”
