Siouxsie Sioux Goes Solo

Peeeeeeek A Booooo! Ah yes, the glorious days of Siouxsie & The Banshees are long gone. Although her project The Creatures always seemed really hit or miss, The Banshees were one of the staples of my high school music world. It should come as no surprise that The Cure led me to The Banshees, as Robert Smith spent some time in the band as well as recording his side-project The Glove with Steven Severin.

Siouxsie Sioux, who began her career back in '76, has recorded her first album on her own. Yes, she has gone solo. Her debut solo album, Mantaray, will be released on October 2, and overseas on September 10. The long player was produced by Steve Evans (who has worked with Robert Plant), as well as Charlie Jones. The first single will be "Into A Swan," which will be available on August 27. So is it going to be any good?

We've got the track listing, which is posted below. It has been a while since Siouxsie's name has popped up around Tripwire HQ, so here are a few classic video gems from her impressive career. Enjoy!
