August 09, 2007

Good morning! Today's poem, "You Know Your Boy Did That," includes the following couplet:

See you dropped out shoulda stayed in school-in man

You just a dumb dumb don’t get fool-in man

Coincidentally, Swizz will be talking to and performing for 600 New York-area students today at Lincoln Square Theatre as part of the In Theater Event Series which "is designed to utilize celebrities young people admire, to encourage them to stay in school and make smart choices with their lives." Go to All Hip Hop for the whole story.

Yeah, yeah

You know who it is

Swizzy

Snags on the beat man is crazy

The album’s crazy man it’s just so crazy

You know your boy did that

You know your boy did that

You know your boy did that

You know your boy did that

Man I’m four wheeling

Don’t care about your feelings

Came through, new coupe

I had to drop the ceiling

Made a little paper

Something drug dealers talk about it be about it man (you know your boy did that)

Damn right my goons gonna shoot, yeah

Damn right my chicks look cute, yeah

Damn right I’m in that coupe, yeah hold up

Let’s talk about it, be about it man

You got a little paper and you think you all frontin

But it all means nothing to me

I mean you got a little Benz and your top come off

But it all small stuff to me

I get my paper in Vegas, get my paper in AZ

N----- on the radio, DJ’s play me

The Swizzy busy gets busy baby

Cooking in the kitchen man I got that gravy

You know the boy did that

You know your boy did that

You know your boy did that

You know your boy did that

Man I’m four wheeling

Don’t care about your feelings

Came through, new coupe

I had to drop the ceiling

Made a little paper

Something drug dealers

You know your boy did that

Man down but no cannons found

That’s how sh-- go from where I’m round

Yeah you’re a-- will get crazy or get sp-----zayed

Talk tough and they’ll kidnap your baby

Cool it man don’t be a foolin man

See my boy there’ll hit you with that tool-in man

See you dropped out shoulda stayed in school-in man

You just a dumb dumb don’t get fool –in man

Sh-- ain’t sweet, I gotta eat

I guess I gotta creep

I was living with my little b---- for a week

The b---- kicked me out I’m at my other b---- house

These n----- want war f--- them n-----point em out

I got my glock in my snub

And my rubber glove

Quick to bust n----- cause it ain’t no love

Ain’t no hand shakes, n----- ain’t no hugs

The city I’m from is nothing but thugs b----

You know the boy did that

You know the boy did that

You know the boy did that

You know the boy did that

You know your boy did that

You know your boy did that

You know your boy did that

You know your boy did that

Man I’m four wheeling

Don’t care about your feelings

Came through, new coupe

I had to drop the ceiling

Made a little paper

Something drug dealers

You know your boy did that

1999 I did that

Took the hard street sh-- and I flipped that

It all started from a little corner dream

I turned that thing into a million dollar scheme

Yeah you know the boy did that

I bought my first car with no where to live at

But I got a little smarter

Got my beat game up and worked a little harder

Then I flipped the game

Then I raised the bar then I raised my name

Then I raised my price then I did that right

Now I’m 96 million sold ain’t that right

I did it man

You know your boy did that

You know your boy did that

You know your boy did that

You know your boy did that

Man I’m four wheeling

Don’t care about your feelings

Came through, new coupe

I had to drop the ceiling

Made a little paper

Something drug dealers

You know your boy did that

What ya’ll what me to do man

I’m 20 . . .

How old am I

I’m 28

With 96 million sold I mean

My catalogue is a senior citizen

My numbers is senior citizens

I’m just giving ya’ll good music to vibe to

Showing ya’ll a whole nother side

My n---- Snags on the drums

Kicks, snares, and all the crazy sounds

I ain’t gotta do all the beats man

It’s 2007 man it’s a whole new breed coming out

What ya’ll what me to do

New things
