If your parents started a band, Dad on guitar and Mom on keys, it would probably resemble that old Will Ferrell/Ana Gasteyer skit more than Handsome Furs, but in FADER TV Land, Dan Boeckner and Alexei Perry are your 'rents, your baby bottle is full of Mad Dog and you get passed around hipster holiday parties like baby Jesus. You could also just intern at Sub Pop and get basically the same results.
