I know I know… we were a bit confused as well. Yes, Elvis Costello has recorded a cover of popster Christina Aguilera’s hit single, “Beautiful.” This will appear on the upcoming soundtrack for the Fox television series, House. Nettwerk Records will be releasing the CD on September 18, containing the Costello track, along with Sarah McLachlan’s cover of XTC’s “Dear God.”
The twelve-track soundtrack also features what is called Band From TV, which is an “all-star” group of TV actors, including Hugh Laurie (House), Greg Grunberg (Heroes), James Denton (Desperate Housewives), Bonnie Somerville (Cashmere Mafia) and Bob Guiney (The Bachelor). The group performs The Stones’ “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” who all got together to record the track to benefit several charities and non-profits, including Save The Children.
